TAS Quote of the Day - July 1, 2020 (Henri Frederic Amiel)
Henri-Frédéric Amiel (1821-1881) was a Swiss moral philosopher, poet, critic, a professor. Orphaned at a young age, he traveled Europe. Though he fostered friendships with some Europe’s top intellectuals, he never attained the status as a top philosopher during his lifetime.
However, after his death, his book Journal Intime (“Private Journal”) became widely circulated in Europe and was later translated into English. Britannica calls is “a masterpiece of self-analysis.”
I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments below about this quote.
Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are traveling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind.
~Henri Frederic Amiel
