We’re All Dealt a Hand

Good morning, my friends. I think it’s more than fair to say life isn’t always fair to us.

It’s easy to spends weeks, months, decades, your whole life recounting the ways life hasn’t given you a fair deal of the cards. You may even be 200 percent right. Life may not have offered you the same chances others had by default.

Here’s the thing. We have two choices. We can spend our lives focused on the hand we were dealt or we can focus our efforts on playing the hand we have with all we have. The shocking part is that as we do the latter, life eventually deals us a better hand.

We will always miss the rocket to greatness, if we’re hanging around the station waiting on the bus to fairness. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t be working for a fairer, more just society. It’s just an acknowledgement that you don’t have the time to wait for the world to move, when you can simply deal yourself a new hand.

In case no one else has reminded you today, YOU are AWESOME!
