George Brett Hits Three Home Runs in Game 3 of 1978 ALCS

Hall of Famer George Brett hits three home runs off Hall of Famer Jim “Catfish” Hunter in Game 3 of the 1978 American League Championship Series. Despite Brett’s heroics, The New York Yankees defeated the Kansas City Royals 6-5 and won the series 3-1.

The game’s announcers were also a Hall of Fame trio - Howard Cosell, Keith Jackson, and Jim Palmer who was still an active pitcher at the time.
