Oprah Winfrey Quotes
Oprah Winfrey was born January 29, 1954 in Mississippi. She’s done it all in the world of media and entertainment, but she built her fame and fortune as host of syndicated Oprah Winfrey Show which aired from 1986-2011. It was the highest-rated show of its kind in history. It made Oprah a household name and one of the most influential people in The United States.
An appearance on the show by an entrepreneur or a mention of an author’s book, often immediately sent them into the stratosphere. She’s been called the most influential woman in the world. She’s richest African American of the 20th Century and has been called the greatest African American philanthropist in history.
Her influence helped break many taboos, gave people a place to tell their story, and helped increase the popularity of spiritual approaches to personal development.
